Reducing memory decayStudies have shown that when we recall or revise something the decay process is slowed down. This effect is one we are all familiar with, talking about something or recalling an event helps us keep the memory for longer, but only in as much detail as we recall it each time. If we can recall a fact whilst we have a high chance of recall (80-100%) then the decay process can be slowed down in a very effective way.
